UTS Canvas Admin Tool

  • UTS required a new application that would:
    • Provide a console for administrators to create new courses and other tasks
    • Automate data transfer between the Canvas Learning Management System and the Student Management System
    • Significantly reduce the time and manual task load of administrators
    • Over time, other functions were implemented including automation of Student Grades transfer and integration with class scheduling systems.
  • I led the functional design and requirements process, and managed the CAT roadmap over two years. Wireframing and visual prototyping were a significant part of the design and requirements process.
  • Highly agile development process – I led the design and requirements management processes, liaising with the development team, users, and business stakeholders.
